Hi,
Just a quick question...

I am looking for a tropical plant for my fluval edge 46l, ideally i would like something that grows around 40cm in height and is quite thin and will survive with the limited light that the edge provides.

Does anyone have any recommendations that i can google then purchase :)

Many thanks

Depends on stocking and water partly, but vallis springs to mind.

Stocking wise i just have 4 neons, 4 endlers and 4 cherry shrimp so not too much! As yu can see from the photo below i have a lot of empty space in the top third of my tank. Will have a look at the valllis springs.

Elodea Densa will be good too and is nicely textured. It grows like a weed and will also help transport nitrates out of the tank if you trim and replant :)

i like the look of Elodea Densa, it grows quite quickly too! Is it easy enough to cut back if it starts outgrowing the tank?

Absolutely.  Cut and replant the top section and it will reroot. Where you cut it off you will get extra stems growing making it more bushy.

Rotala sp Green should also be ok.  I have some of that for sale if you are interested.  Its nice to have different textures with your plants.  You can let the rotala grow tall or trim it and maintain it as a lower plant easily enough.
