I think its Hydrocotyle leucocephala or Penny Wort - really easy to grow plant from the sound of things.

Agreed. It also does well floating, and in fact all the floating leaves you can see in the photo are this plant.

I agree it is Penny Wort. They grow it at my LFS floating, and it looks really nice.
