1 - Not sure looks non aquatic to me and therefore will inevitably die.

2 - Looks like Didiplis Diandra (water hedge).

ahhh really? ill uproot it and have a look what the root system is like? if any is present, ill be annoyed if it isnt aquatic

Just pulled it out and the root system is developing nicely in there, Only been in two weeks and this is what it is like

oh really? so it is aquatic? Excellent, It is growing well in my low tech set up i must say, so is the blood red star grass to be honest
