Pretty sure the woman in the shop said it was a red something even though it looks purple and green.

A name would be great to put to the plant!

Thanks for looking
Rob

Alternathera reineckii 'purple'
This plant is quite demanding

Thanks for the info, its been in there i guess 3 weeks and looks exactly the same as when i bought it, no growing no colour change, just like it is plastic

How is your moss wall coming along? had any issues with the tank? :) That plant looks awesome, Might have to have alook at some, but the shops around me are quite limiting with what plants they have. So Ebay or Online is my options.

My original plants such as my moss wall took a big hit when the "No planaria" gunk was used to ward off flatfish! It left a white film over all the plants, the moss seemed to be covered in it. It has slowly dissipated over the last two days though and I can now see small light green 5mm shoots coming off of the moss!! Very cool, perhaps it just needed two weeks to cling on and start growing, I am not too sure.

I now have the moss on small bits of wood, a stone and the wall. Sat looking at it today and thought I may as well buy some more! My patience started to wear thin so I have bought two more 3x3inch bags off of ebay. Will add the lot to the wall and take some more photos... I realise this may throw a spanner in the works for my moss wall diary but I just get addicted to buying things to put in :(

Thanks for asking :)

I have been very impressed with what I find on ebay, also it is good as it gives you time to Google any purchases, I have found that general shops seem to sell you anything and you often don't learn about the plant until you get home and see it would be better in your window!
