has lily type leaves doesnt it .. i dunno im useless ive done many more way worse things :lol: was only going to comment on how lovely and clean the tank/filter look.. new?
the 2nd one is cabomba and grows like mad.. the 3rd (red) spreads like wildfire -gets tall abd busy and gave me nothing but a hard time :( was prone to hair algae

yes it is new, but it does have a fish in it already called "JC" find out why the poor thing on my 1st post ;-(

oh really i kind of want that side to be over grown and busy but without the algae ;-)
ant tips on how to nip the algae in the bud before it starts.
im new to this tank keeping ;-)

1 ?Echinodorus of some kind?

2 Cabomba, does as Shiela says

3 Alternanthera reineckii, won't keep its red leaves unless you run high lights and c02.

actually i did tend to leave the tank lights on for days/weeks on end.. so that probably didnt help

that Alternanthera reinecki ( i didnt just get smart.. i copied n pasted ians name for it) may actually do ok.. i had it in a fluval roma 200,with T8 lights ( have added a pic, but no idea if you can see it in there .. looks quite messy)

yeah i see it, (i think about 3 shoots of it)
oh im not sure of my lights, i think they are about a year old they are duel and told they are for plants aswell so well have to take his word for it and keep my fingers crossed :good: :good: your tank looks lush n green hope mine does soon :fun:

any one know of a good online site to buy aquatic plants? id like a look of hair grass.
