hi!
im not sure how worried i should be!

one of my large comets had a small bump on his head (about the size of a pinhead) about a week ago, i just thought it was normal.

but... i got back from a 4 day holiday yesterday and noted that it had tripled in size and now he has another one just below his top fin(dorsal i think) he is happy as usual, hes eating fine and it doesnt seem to worry him so how worried should i be??

thanks!!

I'm convinced that all 'spots' and 'pimples' (apart from recognised things like ich and velevt) are bacterial in origin. A course of Myxazin ought to clear it up.

I'd like you to check (and be honest with yourself) that you're keeping this fish in optimum conditions, as fish in less than perfect conditions will be more prone to this sort of health issue. If the fish is in a tank, you should think about finding it a pond to live in; comets are not aquarium fish (unless your tank is in the 6'x 2' x2'+ size bracket). Is your filtration up to scratch? Are you doing enough water changes?
