I know primafix is a "gentle" medication, but I'm going to be using it in my 10g and want to make sure my little Fhergy isn't going to have any negative effects from it.
Has anyone used it in a community tank before?

I think it would be since it says it is safe for reef tanks and saltwater fish are much more sensitive than freshwater fish when it comes to water quality and medications.

You could also ask the maker, API, at:
http://www.aquariumpharm.com/en_us/contact.asp

They have a phone number but I always use the email contact link and usually get a reply quickly when I've emailed them in the past.

Thanks for the link, I've emailed them. I hope they reply.

Still no reply... Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?

I emailed the API a few months ago, asking if melafix/pimafix was safe for african clawed frogs ( the really big frogs) and they told me it was safe for all aquatic frogs.
I havent had to use it yet though thankfully.

Thanks Annaconda, I appreciate your reply. I can't imagine it being harmful to them if my shrimp can handle it, so maybe I'll give it a shot. Still paranoid though...

I suppose it wouldn't hurt them if shrimp can take it, fragile little creatures. If they can handle it, ADF's should take it on without a hitch.
