Pieces Floating Round In Troical Fish Tank

hi guys
please please coul someone give me some advise i bought a lido 120 juwel tank on 30/10/10 i have followed all the rules 1 week with no fish if test ok add a few i added 6 and done 20% water change last saturday and tested again on tuesday an got a few more fish. tests are all fine and even have baby guppies in tank.
but came home this eveing and there is loads of bits floating aroun tank could anyone give me any ideas what might be causing it at all please?

How much surface agitation is there in the tank?

What substrate are you using and did you clean it?
