So here are the new ones...

The rotkeil is named Bean... Mr. Bean, Ms. Bean? Always moving around the tank with such purpose. Cute little guy still about 3 cm or 1.25 inches.

And the cupids, two still dreadfully skinny.... can you see a bit of pink on the fins?

Wish I had a better camera.

Hope you enjoyed them.

Mr. Bean    any reason for naming him Bean?? by the way great pix, and great fish you have there.

PS. that is an angel in the 4th pic, right? what is the common/scientific name? I have never seen those...

Don't know why you want a better camera............these are some of the clearest pics I've seen on here. Well done.

Very cute I'm going to guess female but there is no way to tell for sure now. She looks cute and the black head is neat. My other guess is he will have great color. Can't wait to watch her grow.

Its a gold angel. They get the tin foil effect when nearly fully grown

Mr/Ms Bean because the way s/he moves around the tank... not fast, not slow, with clear purpose and intent and a bit how can I say, dorky and goofy. Seems to know me (FOOD) and is up and front when I'm in the room. I'm guessing at this time female too just because there are no dots or markings on the gill plates that I can notice.

The angel is a gold pearl scale and will be more tin foil like than a non- pearl scale. It is a genetic variety but all angels are pterophyllum scalare just with color, scale, and fin variations .... of course the wild alltum are different.

I also think the cupids are looking good. They have nice color so they much be happy. Give them time and they will fill out. Very nice fish. Your hooked on cichlids I can see.
