I found an old camera the other day and it had some pictures from 2004 of some young painted turtles I was raising. The smallest one had just hatched that summer. I thought it was cute so I wanted to share them with you. When They would get big enough I would release them back into the wild (ponds that my friends owned) I had them in a 10 gallon tank at this time but later moved them to a 30 gallon tank.

That is so cool. At the reptile zoo near me they have a two headed turtle. One head is named "pete" and the other, "re-Pete"

Very nice that they went to spend the rest of life in the wild after you raised them, so tip my hat to you sir. Others flush them Iv heared .
Unfortunately I heard the same thing :( I still have two RES turtles I raised from babies that are now 26 years old. I bought them for my kids and when they left home they left them.

I added these two more photos, hope you like them.
