So I'm attempting to make a parts list to start ordering stuff for my 10g nano reef conversion

So far I've come up with the following:
2x20w t5ho - 1 10,000k and 1 460nm actinic
Blue DIY LED for moonlighting
HOB protein skimmer

of course the sand and LR are needed but not on my "equipment" list.

My question is, would it be better to just get an eheim classic external to run carbon and rowaphos or would a phosban reactor be better? I've noticed some multi media reactors that are cheaper than externals. But not sure how worth it they are as far as function.

I was going to go for some zoas, xenias, and some other assorted upon approval :D. Haven't decided CUC since it'll be awhile but was considering a firefish or shrimp/goby pair for stocking.

On a tank that size you dont need either, water changes will take care of all your needs, you dont need a skimmer either

Thanks seffie. Would you recommend multiple smaller water changes or 1 large per week?
