Philodendron

I think you would find it would grow for a little while and then just rot off, its a semi- parasitic terristerial plant. I call them semi parasitic because if allowed to they climb right up over anything in their way and can choke some plants. I have seen devils ivy being used in aquariums but am unsure how long it will actually survive fully submerged.

I have used philodendrum stems, I know them as pothos, in betta tanks and in some scapes. Never submerged the leaves, though, only the stems. I kind of liked the "rooty" feel it gave the scape. It's the 10g in my about me page. The leaves grew out the back. Looked rather pretty. For betta bowls and tanks, it's a fantastic ammonia remover once established.
