So there's always ways to solve a high nitrate ammonia etc levels, but my ph has skyrocketed. I have two theories, my ph just got high since I got a few new goldfish? or I have the easy 5 in 1 test strips, and since i've had the new "jar" of them, my ph has been high, and the pad looks weird, different than my first pack.
What do ya think?

I think that test strips are very inacurate. the liqued tests are better.
you may want to have a look at the water link in my sig, it will help you understand water chemistry a bit more.

yay! Thank you so much! I figured i'd just have to take it to the pet store and get it tested, which isnt a biggie.
THANKS!

Make sure you ask for the exact stats instead of getting a "its fine" sort of answer as many lfs's will not tell what your exact water quality situation is without you specifically asking- its good to invest in your own test kits though. If your ammonia levels are high though i would do an imediate 40% water change with dechlorinator, how many gallons is the tank and what is its total fish stocking?
