Which forum handles pencil fish?

I believe it's the cyprinids and characin section. They are a type of Characin. Did you get some?

Yes, and I've had terrible luck with them. They seem to be very sensitive. I have had three shipments. The first one got lost in shipping and was 10 days arriving. Some fish from that shipment survived for awhile, but all eventually died. I had a second batch of Beckfordi pencils shipped. They did well in quarantine and transferred to the big tank. But suddenly all but one dropped dead in a day. I think I added new stock too quickly and let the water conditions get questionable. One of that school survived all alone, so I ordered a few unnamed pencils. The fools shipped them without heat, and they arrived very chilly with one dead in the bag. Within a day all but one died. I have it in a quarantine tank. Today (Sunday P.M.) I added the lonely Beckfordi in with the new fellow (who arrived Thursday P.M.)

I think I will keep them separate in their own tank and see if I can someday get a school to survive.
