I've heard peacocks are pretty dumb as far as birds go, all looks no brains , not like these clever parrots;

I've also heard that rooks, ravens, crows, magpies and jackdaws are also very intelligent birds too .

Pfeh, highly improbable. For one thing, female peacocks are brown.

But I could believe that he was trying to fight off a "rival."
