I'm thinking of getting some dwarf puffers

When researching them some sites say that they should have their own tank and others say that you can keep other fish with them

Have any of you kept them?

What's your opinion?

They’ve been a bit misunderstood for a while and because of their aggressive tendencies people say keep them alone but they are actually a schooling fish so do best in a small group. They are not just for small tanks really so think of a bigger tank than you would typically keep fish like this in.

They like being with one another in a big enough tank, but I would hesitate to place them with anything who's fins they could eat.

I owned about 20 with other small aggressive fish like barbs, Kuhli loach, Tetra and plecos. They all got along fine untill they died after 1 or 2 years.
