Hey ive been feeding my parrots on cichilid pellets (hikari gold) but they seem to be struggling to eat these from the surface (soon as they get to edge of tank they hang around waiting to be fed still having eaten hardly anything but theres still food in the tank)

any ideas, change might be good anyway

blood worms, shrimp (they sell if frozen or dried), or u can go with feeder guppys, that covers teh live foods but im not a parrot owner so i have no idea what u would feed them, i just know they like fresh food :dunno:

blood worms, get smaller pellets, most parrots dont have movable mouths so it makes it harder for them to eat. try krill.

mine love small freezed dried shrimp. Almost jump out of the water to take them off the top

Our Parrots go mad for live mealworms, look for them in the reptile department of your local pet store.
Don't get the giant ones though, they can't handle them.

Crackers and bird seed! :D :p

I know nothing about parrots, but that had to be said...sorry!

Umm...maybe you should try sinking cichlid pellets?

i feed my parrots, sinking pellets and krill, they love the krill, just be sure to break up the krill so it will fit in their mouths.
