I have a 20 gallon long tank and would like to get some parrot cichlids, or a parrot of some sort and was wondering if I could put them in that small of a tank I know its smal but I have exilent filtration and don't have anyother fish, well some cories but other than that I have nothing. I have rocks and log wood so can I can I can I..

P.S thanks for the help

I've heard that the minimum tank size for parrot cichlids is 55 gallons, so unless you plan on getting a juvie and buying a bigger tank as soon as he needs it, that's a definite no.

20 gallon is too small. Plus they can grow to 8". Also, the bigger the tank, the more forgiven your parameter will be.
