Paradise Fish

oh thanks!!:) i was just asking becuase i just got about a $20 credit at my LFS and i might get these.Would these guys be able to go with cichlids?

It would be touch and go with cichlids, as they are aggressive... not sure I'd risk it.

unlikely... it depends on a few things. first of all, the quality of paradise fish. ya see, paradise fish have been in the fish keeping business longer than most fish. from what i understand, paradise fish are right up there with goldfish in terms of being the 2 original fish in captivity. this means theyve been inbred for a very long time. if the fish is active and alert, its probably a good one. if it appears lethargic and not very responsive, you might want to avoid.


anyway, it also largely depends on what cichlids you keep it with.
 
also less ornamental(less dangly fins and stuff) are best as they are real bullys to these fish
so chose tank mates with care

Theyd probibly'd get nipped a few time but not to much my fish arent that nippy though only my african.

are you saying your going to keep a paradise fish with an african cichlid? thats probably not a good thing to even try
