What is it? it looks nice, but the stock is so light that it practically leaps out of the bottom and floats up, where it doesn't look so nice.

What colour are the roots?

the healthy looking roots are light green, the not so healthy looking ones are kinda well brown and nasty

basically they are the same color as the rest of the plant, maybe just a hair lighter

Looks like a banana plant to me.

I have banana plants, they are way smaller, in either case its' gone now cause I killed it, not really we just got sick of it

It is a banana plant, or was anyway.. they can get pretty big and can change how their roots look as well as they can grow either rooted or floating.
