i have a pair of these birchirs and for the most part they get along but every once in a while i see one try to take a nasty bite out of the other (no scares)or any visible damage but it looks really bad cos he'll bite and try to hold him there.the one thats gettin bit usually stays still til he lets go and never really looks like he is being attacked, should i worry?what are some of their mating rituals?if any.is it possible to breed these guy's in an aquarium?

thanx in advance for any info

sam :hmm:

How told you this m8. They are a tad aggressive. I dont think breeding has been assesed much. But they have been know to turn on each other if there is not enough hidding places etc. for them. ;)

sorry it took so long to get back i forgot that i posted this.
well the tank is 90 gal and has too many hiding places if you ask me, 8) ,i shouldn't worry to much coz it really only happens around feeding time,i just thought having 2 of'em would benefit them.will having only 1 be ok or should i keep'em both,i'd rather have 1 coz of space, but 2 is fine as well.what do you think?
