P Compta Spawn

Just discovered eggs in the tank- some know these as leopard frog plecos or L.134s. I have had good luck getting spawns with these guys and almost not luck getting fry to survive. Many reasons for this so am hoping I figure it out this time. One baby to date and one breeder lost to get it.
 
Had an H. contradens spawn since I rehomed them last month as I spotted new fry last week. Never even saw eggs.
 
The L450s are also with fry and the zebras recently went twice.
 
Its like a dang orgy in the pleco tanks it seems.

typical of this group, they are great spawners and horrid dads. I was forced to pull the cave and dad when I discovered 2 dead wiigles and two live ones out of the cave. Apparently a few more were totally gone.
 
The upshot is I now have 6 fry very close to free swimming in the trap. I returned dad and cave to the tank a couple of days ago.
 
I use am using an external hang on trap that uses air to pump water into one end of the trap which has a return to the tank at the opposite end.
 
I rehomed my mostly F1 colony of zebras to their new 75 gal. and am about to move the L173 from Glaser into the no empty 33 gal. long.
 
Shipped out 20 good size L450 fry to a friend to sell along with a bag full of assorted ferns. I still have well over 50 more 450 fry. I am curious to see how the contradens fry are doing. The contradens will be sold in the not to distant future although I will keep a few to go into the Altum tank which is the next huge project. I will be sorry to lose these plecos, I don't have energy to keep so many tanks any more, so all my smaller ones are going and with them some of the pleco groups.
 
I have not seen any of the smallest recent zebra spawn since that first day. I am just hoping they went to ground as usual and I wont see much of them for many weeks.
