As most of you know, I just purchased a Marineland Portrait aquarium for my betta. As I have mentioned in previous post, it has a black plastic wall which hides filter/pump. I have difficulty locating my black betta in it. So below are pics of original tank and pic with white craft canvas against back. I need holes for water flow. I know the white doesn’t look as flashy but do you think it will do with more tall plants in the back? Any other ideas? The black plastic divider wall is not removable.

The white looks good. Why not use it as a "bed" for a moss wall?

It will soon green up some with algae. I've seen some interesting effects by putting some java moss on the wall.
Post crossed with @seangee's post (Great minds and crazy people think alike <grins>)

Actually, I had thought about that myself. Do you think enough water flow would get through to the filter once the moss is grown? Note holes in black wall.

Those are live plants. I have java moss coming.
