i ordered ahood, lighting unit and tube from an online store 3 weeks ago with delivery within 7 days!

have not had any items yet. i have spoken to them and they have said there is a problem with their suppliers.

am i well within my rights to ask for a refund! my betta is in darkness!

I would certainly say so! Especially if they specifically stated 7 day shipping.

Hopefully you paid with Paypal or some other secured means! Good luck!!

yes you are within your statuatory rights to insist for a refund.
they are the ones that have broken the contract of sale not you.

if they refuse you a refund refer the matter to your local tading standards office; actualy threaten them with that first it normerly works :p

You are also protected by the Distance Selling Regulations which covers mail order (so do MOTA), buying over the telephone or via the internet. If you paid by credit card they might retrieve your money for you. I know these things by unfortunate experiences! Good luck. :)

i used www.aquariumsuperstore.co.uk

its not really a problem but they said that it would be 7 days. the company have been more than helpful with customer service and have kept me updated that they have had problems with suppliers.
