so ive had my betta fish for a long time now. water changes every week, betta food, all by its lonesome for about three years.

maybe about a month ago or more, i tried a communal tank with 4 mollies and 1 peppered cory. then it just didnt feel right, so i moved my betta in about two days, back to his own tank,

but ive never noticed before that his face looks VERY scaly. not like normal healthy fish scales. like. you know when you have a scab, and it's been in the water too long? yeah... would that be just coz he's a lot older, or maybe sick from the communal tank?
