Ok So I Bought...

ok so i went to one of my lfs and i came across a lovely newt. the guy told me that it could escape, but my tanks tight so no need to worry, and warned me about its eating habits.
Trouble is, i dont kno what newt it is! It was one of the last so I thought "whats harms it gonna do?" so I bought it.
Could any body tell me or point me in the right direction of finding out more about it.
Its black with a bright red belly (possibly orange)

They eat small fish so i wouldn't have it in the tank.

yep. thats what it is. a fire bellied newt. its well cute and im gonna put it in a little acrillic tanks half filled with water. gonna put a few rocks in it, a aquaflo-mini filter, a peice of drift wood and put a few peppered corys in it. a few plants between the rocks too. would look great and VERY cheap.
also, im gonna buy a few more newts. they should get along with the corys right? Anyone know?
maybe a bristle nose pleco too? would this be fine?

Fish = newt food set up a species tank just for the newts.

Since the Oriental Firebellied Newt (most common in trade in ordinary aquatics shops) grows to a maximum size of 2.5" and is rather shy and timid, I really dont think you need ever worry about them eating all but the smallest and slowest of fish.

More to the point, your tankmates for them should be peaceful otherwise your newt will rapidly be missing some limbs
