I was out of town and had a friend looking after my fish, (BTW: I've got two set ups - one tropical (for me
) and a goldfish bowl for my neice (since my sisters land lord won't allow ANY pets.. even fish.)) anyway during my friends stay he knocks over the bowl (don't ask me how...) which empties it and being (nearly) spherical it rolls on to the floor and smashes, so he decided to put the goldfish into the tropical tank.
Now this is the strange bit... My tropical fish wern't really lively, sure they swam about fine and had bursts of speed now and then but never REALLY quickly or in ANY groups, but ever since the tropical tank was invaded by the goldfish the tropical tank has been a hive of activity! They almost always are speeding around the tank and in mixed groups led by the goldfish. My first thought was that it could be the goldfish bullying them but I've sat and watched them and there is no evidence of that at all, just wondered if you could work out why they've suddenly had a new burst of life because it's got me stumped...
