O.k. Betta Still Not Eating!

I bought a new betta yesterday at walmart.
hes healthy and everything but he hasnt eatin in 24hrs!
idk y?
Hes in a 5gal right now.
His food is Betta Premium Food WARDLEY.
i ground up the food to eavin smaller bits hes still not eating?
any help would be appreciated?

Just be patient, he's probably just settling in. They can go weeks without eating so I wouldn't fret over 24 hours. Be sure and clean up the food he doesn't eat though!

Also, you might want to try Hikari brand.

Are they flakes? None of my bettas have ever eaten flakes. Try the hikari pellet kind, they usually like those. And yeah, once he settles he'll probably start eating as wuv said.

No there pellets I have them to but don't use them because they are extremly to big and a betta can barly fit it into its mouth and if it can it will have trouble getting it down or they could choke on it. So I wouldn't use it and I would get what I use called tetramin tropical granules. My bettas love it.

I use Hikari brand pellets that are really really tiny balls. and bloodworms because of my froggys but my bettas eat it 2 ...
