Does anyone know what kind of conditions these plants prefer. Its just I've got a number of N.S. bulbs, but they only ever seem to want to grow in my 4' tank - they simply won't even consider growing elsewhere and will die-off when moved to a different tank! Now my 4' tank is looking a bit over-whelmed with the amount of growth these have put on, and frankly the surface leaves are making it difficult to feed the fish!

It's from India. The more light the smaller the plant is. If you want to get it to grow underwater leaves too, you need to cut those leaves which are trying to grow on surface.

It doesn't need any specific water values, just light. If it drops its leaves, just lift the bulb(?) on sand/gravel. It needs some rest-time and after that it may start to grow new leaves.
