Notifications acting weird?

TBH, I don't even bother with that number counter, as long as I keep getting email notifications, I'm happy.

It does the same thing on my phone. I've learned to give it a second. But I do occasionally miss messages because of it.

Yes, it's very confusing because I'm never really sure exactly how many messages I have.
