Hi, I'm new at breeding this specie (nothobranchius furzeri ), and I am having some trouble with the males fertilizing the eggs.
I check all water parameters, and they are ok, pH, nitrates, O2, mS/cm, but the males are at the bottom of the tank, so they don't follow the females to the peat box. Do you have any suggestion of what could be wrong?

You mention nitrate but have you checked ammonia and nitrite?

What is the GH (general hardness), KH (carbonate hardness) and pH of your water supply?
This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).

What is the water temperature?

How often do you feed the fish and what do you feed them?
How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?

How old are the fish?
Pictures of the fish?
Is the male displaying to the female anywhere in the tank?
