I've always been torn about snakes. I love them. I think they are beautiful and fascinating. However, I also really like rodents.
My wife for a long time has bred fancy mice, rats, hamsters etc. and managed to create a simple distinction in her mind between pets and food. Afterall we have cats and feed them rabbit all the time even though we also have rabbits.

I think it helps that in the UK feeding live food is illegal (its seens as causing unnecessary suffering to the animal.) We only really get problems with royal (aka ball) pythons but these guys are fussy anyway over their meals.

Anyway, lovely snake there, hope the colours stay as vivid as she grows :)

I really hope so as well, but my teacher has the same one and hers has seemed to lose most of its color, but she feeds hers mice, and i feed rats i dont know if that will help anything.

Most corns loose some of their colour as they grow older, it may just dull slightly.
