No Heating? 4 Tropical?

im going to get a aqua 40 litre tank, and well it doesnt cum with a heater i asked the assistent y he had tropical fish in the tank without the heater (it contained tetras and barbs) and he said "coz the rooms heated we dont need heaters" he said i dont need 1 either 2 keep tropicals?? i need a second opinion as i dont want 2 damage the fish! any suggestions?

If you keep tropical fish you need tropical water. Thats where the heater comes in.Some fish like guppies and a very few others will survive without one but you need to keep a steady temp and not rely on house heating otherwise whitespot will be your first enemy.Lfs should be shot half of them dont know what they are talking about in my experience. They should have proper training when dealing with living things.

cheers, i thought it sounded weird... like u said there living things and most of them dont respect that
