Hi, I'm a new fish owner and would just like some advice (reassurance) that i'm feeding them right. I have (all males) an albino cory cat, a peppered cory cat, 3 guppies and 2 (embarrassed to admit) unknow fish that were recommended to go with them, but I can't remember what they are (they are about 2inch long and are front half orange and back half black). I currently give a good pinch of flake once a day and 2 small, about 1 cm, piece of sinking pellet every other day. I have also bought some frozen bloodworm blocks (haven't put any in yet) but was thinking about half a block once a week. Sound about right? Too much? Anything else I could use for s bit of variety (did I see somewhere about cucumber?)

Any help/advice appreciated :-D

Are the unknown fish Platies or Mollies?

Feeding sounds about right. You can add blanched Zucchini, but this is more for Plecos than Corys.

What size is your tank?

Can you get a pic of the unknown fish so we can identify them for you?
Also how big is the tank?
Corys should be kept in groups of 6+ & need a high protein diet, bloodworm, daphnia, brine shrimp etc & a good quality catfish pellet

My tank is 32l

I have tried to get a pic, but they are a bit camera shy, lol

My LFS said about the corys being in groups but due to the size of the tank two would be fine (their words, they prefer group but are happy enough as long ad they aren't in thier own)

The pellets are catfish ones, I bought them on a recommendation

I've managed to get some pics, but can't upload them as the file is too big :-(

You can upload the pics to a photo hosting website, such as photobucket, then you can copy and paste the IMG code here :)

Unfortunately, your tank is too small for some of your fish :/
Peppered and Albino Corys need schools of at least 6 and a tank of around 20 gallons (75L). It would be best if you could either rehome both or get a tank of at least 20 gallons, then decide which Cory is your favorite and rehome the least favourite, then you can get a bigger school of your favourite :)
The Guppies are fine :)

Unfortunately (as you are finding out) some LFS will give bad advice in order to make a sale, it is always best to do your research before buying fish :)

Did you cycle your tank before adding your fish?
What method did you use and how long did it take?
