i have had a tank for 4 or 5 motnhs now. all is going well, fish are growing and looking well. i have 10 fish in a 2ft tank. 1 plec, 3 neons, 2 guppy males, 2 black tetra and 2 orange coloured tetra.
what else should i get apart from increasing the size neons?
would a fighter be ok? what about tiger barbs? anything with colour? bright red's etc?

Thanks

if you mean a siamese fighter (a betta) then no, they shouldnt be put in a community tank. Tiger barbs can be aggressive go for pentazona barbs.

Also what plec is it? if its a common/sailfin they grow over a foot long!!

yea it is a sailfin plec, take it then this tank is too small for it? what other fish can be added for colour etc?

yeah way to small, they grow to around 2ft i think!!

i would take him back before he gets to big and get some store credit

swordtails/platties can be good for colour

Id have suggested that the OP actually make proper shoals from the fish he already has rather than add more different fish.

good point i had completely forgoten about the numbers after they mentioned it was a sailfin and asked another question   try and go for at least 6 of each tetra. These alone will make the tank more colourful  Also could do with at least 4 females for the guppies.

Although then theres not going to be alot of room left :/ but your tank will look very full and active
