Hi having trouble with my new tank this is my first ever tank soooo am a newbie...... Been talking to a friend and he said a good way to get throgh the cycle without fish dieing is to buy a couple off petys (sorry about spelling) because there strong fish and will get the tank cycle going

but you already have fish in your tank, correct? Adding more fish will make the cycle more difficult (more water changes) and put yet more fish at risk.

have you read the beginners section that talks about fish-in cycling?

Yeah I have glow light tetras but don't think they will last..... No I'll have a look =]
