well ive had an angelfish for awhile so he is big but i want to buy more and all my pet stores only sell small angelfish would it be ok to put a small angelfish with an already big angelfish

The big one will no doubt batter the new one. Your angel has the whole tank, he isn't going to take kindly to a newcomer.

Only way that might work would be to add a group.

very risky, but I have done this successfully before by adding a group of 5 juvis to a large male.

How big is the tank?

Some time ago I had a pair of large Angels (non breeding) who lived together for years & after losing one, I added 3 smaller Angels, but soon had to remove them as the Big guy wouldn't have it. Perhaps 3 was not enough & you may get away with it if you can add a decent shoal, as we know all Cichlids are different. Good luck :)
