looking good so far.

what are your tank stats? size? lighting.. etc etc etc

my only suggestion would be to look at some background plants and pop them in the back left and middle.

What do you mean college fund??? Which one of your monster fishies will be living in this tank?

Yeah, I see where you're going with this :D ...

I love planted tanks, their one of my favorite things to maintain and design, BUT I don't have the money to put a real nice one together. See, I have an extra eighty gallon tank that I'm using as a backup tank, and I would love to make it a planted tank.

BUT money's a problem for me.

All my "monster fish" were hunted down for months until I found a great price that I could afford (barely). And then I put a lot of money out to put together my 180 gallon tank and setup (and I even had to build my on lighting fixture - from stuff in the garage - haha). See:

So anyways - College fund - I am in college, and working part time, so, as for planted tanks go, I can only do a 20 gallon as the cost to maintain is minimal (comparing to what my 80 gallon would be). I guess it just gives me a hope for the future. :) And as for which monster fish goes in this tank - I have a 3" ornate bichir, a 6" tire track eel (avatar), a 3" S. American leaf fish, a 3" flash pleco, a 2" high-fin spotted pleco, and two 2" microctenopoma ansorgii... *phew* And yes that's a lot, but most of them hide, none of them fight, all of them eat well, and the eel and bichir will be relocated soon (to the 80 gallon).

looking good. Have you got any fish in there?

Thanks. I sure do: (1) South American leaf fish, (1) 3" ornate bichir, (1) flash pleco, (1) Highfin spotted pleco, (1) golden zebra loach, and (2) microctenopoma ansorgii. And they're all professionals at hiding.

that looks much better then the provious... more green, more full.

Great work. keep it up

Looks great mate. i know how it is with being at college and part time work, while you're trying to setup a big tank.

Well done matey.
