Today I went to a local LFS to find a platy to replace the one I lost to fish TB last week. Well I naturally looked through the bettas (like always) and surprisingly they all looked to be in good shape. Well I saw this little "light yellow" male and was about to say 'awww how pretty is he' when I noticed the the stress lines, they were very hard to spot on his light body. Then I noticed that his tail was tinted slightly purple, and I wondered if he was really darker than that and stressed to the point of completely losing all color. Then I noticed his back was slightly bent (probably from being in a cup for so long). Taking an even closer look I saw that he was gasping for air (the cups have no air holes) and he barely had the strength to swim to the top to get air. Well I got him, along with a pretty redish copper female VT that my boyfriend fell in love with. I Haven't named him yet so any suggestions would be great!!]

Check out his pretty colors! Remember when I got him he looked light yellow, almost white with very faint purple tints on his fins.

He's going to be much, much happier with you than at his previous home. Let us know if this is his final color or if he gets darker yet with a few days' time.
