New Plants

I got two plants for my tank today i got an a sword plant and a hygrophila polysperma and these are the only plants i plan on keeping in my tank.

I have a good wattage fluorescent light for my 30 gallon.

so is it really necessary to buy Co2 and fertilizer and all that stuff or can i live with out it?

Probably not, those plants are undemanding. CO2 only really becomes 'necessary' in high lgiht tanks at over 2WPG.
