Got myself a stunning juvenile Polypterus Ansorgii "Japanese Breed":

The guy I get my Bichirs off also had a customer who was unable to keep his fish anymore, and was looking for a home for them. Of course I obliged!

Here's what I rescued:

54cm Wild Polypterus Endlicheri: (Pics do no justice, this is a monster!)

30cm Wild Polypterus Delhezi:

45cm Black Arowana (not in the best condition)

LOL, no its 7ft x 3ft x 3ft. about 400gallons I think.
Its gotta be one of my fav tank on here at the moment

Thankyou very much. Though there are much nicer ones here!
I like the fish, but the tank is scratched, needs a clean and I need to sort some better substrate out, but I am very lazy. I have a 480 with a Channa Micropeltes in it that needs even more maintenance!

Thanks for the kind words all!

@Simonas, how's your venture into Marine going?

My wife is nagging me to get a saltwater up and running, as she wants a Cowfish?
Would love to, but I see it costing a fortune, and high maintenance, and as you see from the state of my tanks, I am a little lazy...

Excellent stuff as usual mate. I have had a couple of smaller Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri around 4-5" for a few months now. Cannot wait to for them to get to proper monsters like that. Mine are to end up in a similar tank to that with Tigers I have growing out too.
