Hi my name's Kim I've been keeping fish since childhood but finally got a tank big enough to be proud of lmao . I currently have 3 tanks my main one being a aqua one aquience cube 650 48.3 gallons and I'm in love with it .
I have cherry barbs, neon tetras, golden geramis (prob spelt wrong) platys and in the main tank about 150 plecos. They've been breeding like crazy so I must be doing something right lmao. Soon got some pictus catfish coming too so exited about that as got a 4ft tank soon. Eek

150 plecos in 48 gallons?!!?! What kind of plecos? Pictures? How often do you have to do water changes on that?

Also, welcome!!

Only 7 adaults rest are all babies growing getting ready to sell on lmao they all hide alot but will put photos up in a second I removed the gravel to make it easier to hoover up Thier poo witch I do daily. so we don't get worms and do a half change every 1/2 to 2 weeks depending on how messy they have been . Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the plecos, get us some pictures others may want to buy some from you.

Edit: You posted the pics just as I was typing the beginning of this post....lol
Those are some nice looking plecos, I have two BN's in my 55 gallon and enjoying them. When I first got them my BN's where very small and the minute I put them in their new home they disappeared. Then a few days later I got all excited when I spotted one, then later saw both of them and sighed a sigh of relieve they where still alive. Today they have gotten big and fat.

Keep an eye out because if you have indeed got a male and female if male is ready for breeding and you don't see him he is most probably prepping the cave ready to breed he will not leave the cave at all untill the babies are a certain age size or untill they leave the cave themselves . Signs to look for kicking female out the cave, (he's cleaning) then he will come out and pig out . Because when he traps her to release eggs he will not leave his cave as he will fan the eggs till the baby's hatch . How old are your plecos? Sorry I just assumed they were adaults till I re read it lmao. X

Thanks for the info, I am sure I will find out someday on the future if I have a breeding pair and now I know more about what to look for.
