Saw this boy at Petco and wanted to get him despite the injury. Will the bones mend by themselves?

Is there anything I should do to prevent any complications?

Thanks for insights!

Often times this is caused by water quality or poor genetics. We can’t do anything about the genetics. Keep him in extremely clean water and see how it goes. If he is able to swim then he may still survive. Kudos to you for saving him.
