Hi all, hope you’re well. My daughter has a white Betta and I swear he’s blind so was googling and came across this website. I’ve had Oscar’s in the past and hope to again in the future. I personally think they make great pets! We also have a few tetras in another tank. Looking forward to learning from you all! 🐠

Welcome!

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Does the fish have red lines in the fins?
If it does, check the water quality for ammonia and nitrite. And do a big water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a couple of weeks.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.

Hi! Thank you. I did a big water change last week, I will clean his gravel and check levels. I Thought it was just his colouring or from the food.

Red lines in the fins is blood travelling through veins and is an indication of a water quality issue (usually ammonia). If you ever see red lines in a fish's fins, do big (75%) water changes and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week or until the red goes.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
