New Fry

just wondering how long should i be keeping small fry in a breeding trap/net, they've currently been in there since sunday afternoon. I've only got one small fry. any suggestions

what fish is it? its usually till they wont fit in anyones mouth

its a platy, its bout the length of 6mm. reason i'm cautious is that wen i last had fry the got nipped at and didn't last more than a week. but then again my tank set up was only a few weeks old.
