Hi I bought a fahaka puffer fish earlier today and noticed these weird lookin spots on him about an hour ago I can’t tell if it might be a fungal infection or maybe ich. It’s alone in a 125 gallon any help will be appreciated! It’s eating really well and swimming around fine so I don’t know if I’m just being paranoid the PH is between 7.2 - 7.4 I The temp is 79.3 and there was very slight nitrate bout 10ppm but I did a 20% water change and it went down to less than 5

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

It doesn't look like white spot or fungus.

It could be calcium deposits in the fins but you will need to monitor it over the next few weeks. If it stays the same then it's most likely calcium. If it spreads then post more pictures.

Hello thank you and will do! I also just noticed that that my hardness was basically nonexistent so the water is really soft I added some crushed Cora a media bag and 2 cups straight to the substrate and plan to add more but the water has already become quite a bit cloudy how should I progress from where I’m at? Thank you!
