well i did it i bit the bullet and goy my first 3 discus along with some rummymose and trillianatus? corys his the pic of one of my stendker discus he is around 12cm

I've been debating going down the discus route for some time now, where abouts did you get them from?

Got it from maidenhead aquatics as its the only decent place around my area for discus

cheers i have a small blue diamond in and he seems to be the most active they are very reserved atm but they only went in yday hey are eating bloodworm but not prima so i will feed lightly on bloodworm till they demand more food

They are really nice, especially for maidenhead to. Im wanting to start a tank with these at some point. Nearly got round to it but kinda failed.

y wait i say i have been pondering for about a year now and i finally did it, im so impatient i have them in a 45g atm but moving em into my 75gal asap just need to shift on the fish from my other tank first. iv had them a day and i cant wait till i get some more in and see them in a nice shoal together

Ive got a 240L that could house a couple but ideally its not big enough. I really do like yours though, look great. Makes me want them more.

i dont see why you couldnt get 6 in that size tank i mean you would be limited to other tank mates but certainly do half a dozen discus

Maybe, How many days you planning on changing the water etc.. And are you using RO water?

im gonna do 2x 25% changes a week and tap water as its around neutral in my area so i have added wood in just to soften it that little more

Ive seen a lot of people doing WChanges every 2 to 4 days not sure if that's necessary though? I need to get the 240 sorted then i think

well iv heard a lot of different things i mean when they get moved into the bigger tank then its got 2 externals so wc's might be 25-30% a week

and ye get that 240 ready mate you wont regret it
