I'm gonna be setting up a 10 US Gallon Brackish Tank.

Can I use my API Freshwater Master Test Kit?

What temp should it be? I'm putting gobies in it?

The fish (gobies in thia case) are in (I think) freshwater, should I be worried about taking them outta freshwater and putting them in brackish water (I'm thinking of shocking them)?

Have no idea about the gobies, the temp for them or advisability of brackish etc..... but the test kit should be fine for taking measurements in brackish water I believe.

Hi

There are so many Gobies that you ought to identify the ones you want before getting set up. Most Gobies are marine fish, but there are some Brackish and even freshwater ones. All will require varying salinity and temp. Also their sizes vary a fair bit. For instance, the Knight Goby grows to 3" but as its very territorial needs a tank size of around 20 gallons.

These look like bumble bee gobys. I was under the impression theres like 3 different types of fish with the bumble bee goby look and they all should be kept in brackish water, perhaps I'm wrong though.

I'm sorry. I re read my post, I didn't specifically point out that the fish I am referring to is BBGs.

I think you ought to be looking that up yourself really as there are many different gobies. You must have seen some to fuel your wanting for them? Google brackish gobies :good:

You could also check out the "Brackish" section of the forum :good:

I did that but I had trouble getting replies so I came here.
