Yesterday I got one male and one female because my tank needed some colour but will they breed and can I breed them with other coloured gonamis like gold or blood red to make cool colours


what sort of eggs do they have or are they live barers

No I highly doubt dwarf gouramis will hybridise with other gourami species.

All dawrf gournamis types will cross breed as their the same species.

However they will not cross with honey, or larger types like the golds, blue or 3 spots etc etc.


Even if you do breed them the eggs are tiny and the fry are almost impossible to rear unless you set up a breeding tank and creat your own specilest live foods for the fry.

ratio's are not important with these as the quite nice fish in groups.

And yes the breed by the hobby.
Wild females are silver.
