Hi

I have an aquaone tank with 2 arcadia 11w compact original tropical lamps and one 18w interpet triplus T5 compact yet im gettin lots of algae probs. the tank is 65l I was wondering if swapping the triplus t5 for a 18w beauty light as this seem the only lamp i can find to fit thats 8.5 inch long!

tanks a aquaone aquamode 600

Unless you are running stable CO2 and something like the Estimative Index fertilisation routine (see pinned thread) you will get algae - that is a fair bit of light for a tank that size.

Yeh thats quite a lot of light over the tank. Have a read of the pinned Estimative Index thread :)

Also, re the tubes you have, i would keep the triplus, and change the original tropical, for something like an arcadia freshwater. These two are both good at growing plants.
